I don't get it. What made the boat in the first video take a dive? Did the prop catch on something?

I think he's got a pump on it and dropped the reverse gate at full or nearly full throttle. That's just my guess though.

I have dumped it into reverse at nearly WFO and haven't come anywhere NEAR what he did. All I can get is a bunch of spray.

Re: How to turn your boat into a SUBMARINE!
I think he pulled out of the throttle on a small wake then hit it wide open with the nose pointing down and plowed it under.
I love his response though...

Re: How to turn your boat into a SUBMARINE!
Those new wakeboard boats have some way of filling with water to put out a big wake, I wonder if they had water in the boat for wake, then the sudden stop pushes it under the wave or something?

He had plenty of water in the boat after he pulled that stunt :-)

Its all good, the second boat should have stayed on plane and he would have been fine.

From the comments

This wasn't done on perpose at all!!! How this happened?? I believe that when I was coming into shore that I hit some rollers left over from the twinrig and when I pulled off the throttle the nose hit those rollers and sucked the front end down.
Some people think that I may have pulled the throttle back past netural into reverse adding to the nose dive. Still not 100% sure how it happened, I just know that I don't want to do that again!! LOL...

Re: How to turn your boat into a SUBMARINE!
If you watch the driver right before it dives, it looks like he pulls the throttle hard then cranks the wheel to full starboard with both hands.
Sure looks like a planned stunt to me. If he didn't mean to do it, why would he be doing all that before the nose dive? The lady also gets set for the water bath.
I also didn't see any wake before or after the stunt.
