Default Yamhill,Marion, Polk co. ifshers

Our little get together for ifishers is set for Thursday Aug 9, at 6:00 P.M. at at the Golden Valley Brewery which is located on the corner of East 3rd and Lafayette Ave. It looks like we will have around 8 or 9 members that will be there. I emailed all of you who sent a response to me and i hope i did not miss any of you. Any one else who would like to attend are welcome to do so. I have four tables reserved on the patio which they tell me would give us room for 20 people so come on down and lets meet each other. Looking forward to it. cagey. PS i think Waterdog is buying>

Hey Waterdog, can i get a job at that place where you work? I cant afford beer and fish hooks both so i gave up the beer. I have experience raising them brown trout so you would not have to train me. heh heh heh.

Dear Mr. CAGEY,

An evaluation of your sewer lateral has been conducted and you are required by City Ordinance to replace it...............

A letter similar to this will arrive by certified mail soon!

Big Willie, I'll leave the brown trout where they belong, in Bait's boat!

Bait, you missed one question:
#4. Which is better, a maple bar or an apple fritter?
Ans: "Uh, boy thats a tough one, hmmmm, both are good. I say all of the above." CORRECT

Cagey is an expert in the doughnut area and I think his department developed that question. You get that letter yet?

YamPoMar iFishers-

I'm looking forward to putting faces with some of the folks with whom I have only exchanged messages on the board, even though sometimes the experience can be a shocker ... I've met Waterdog ... although I have one of those faces suited for radio myself ....

Hey, Roy, McMinnville's just a short hop from Milwaukie ... are you gonna drink some of this beer that Waterdog's buying for everybody?

Who's gonna be there? Post in!

Well i was going to be there but it seems that i have a sewer line or something going in on my street and the way the city boys work my street will be blocked for the next two weeks. That Waterdog guy has been threatning me now for several days. And yes i am an expert in the doughnut eating. They are especially good when Waterdog is in need of help. Ill be there Mike, see all of you tomorrow. Cagey.

Hey Guys,
I was playing over on the Yamhill from Dayton up to the locks fishin Bass and saw a couple of Large Chinook ??? carcus' Would those be frozen feed for the crawfish or might those actually be spawned fish?? Last month just below the locks I was hooking finclipped salmonoids bout 6-8 inches. After five or six fish I had to change from spinners back to plugs cause I didn't want to damage them. Who would be stocking the lower yamhill anyway? Bass fishing is very good right now if your interested. Wouldn't keep em though. Resident fish scare me! Three eyes and six toes....I didn't even know fish had toes

toblerone-

Yeah, those local fish are interesting, but there are some truly amazing mutants near the Smurfit plant on the Willamette in Newberg.

Are you joining us this evening?

Any other iFishers?

I see a late night info-mercial focusing on the new and very improved powers of Golden Ale. It worked so good on my leg, I went right home and took a bath in it! It was great to meet you guys...we need to do it again. The scenery wasn't to shabby either!

A question for you guys: Where's the shopping done since Bill and Fishing Unlimited are no longer around? We lived in Mac for about 15 years before HP closed the division there and I headed south.

Hi Big Willie, yes it was a great get together. It was nice meeting all of ifishers and look forward to doing it again. I assume the scenery your are referring to were the nice flowers etc. Sailcats neck is stiff. ha ha

All Thumbz I use BiMart and Walmart locally. Hard to find items require a trip to another city.

AllThumz-

I was Bill's partner at the store. There is no place like that place ... was ....

Try Fisherman's Shack ... Don Green was a regular customer before he opened up his own store in Monmouth some years ago. Knowledgeable advice and Don's a nice guy.

SailCat: I had a good friend that owned the hobby shop on 3rd. He and Bill were always betting on football games - one would try to snooker the other. Too bad I wasn't really into salmon/steelhead fishing then.

I still like a good frying pan full of yellow perch.

Is Bill still making beer?

Thanks for the ride home Waterdog. Saved my wife a run downtown. I enjoyed meeting all of you. Lets not waste an opportunity. Trip trader is good but now theres a face to face and hopefully we can create some fishing get togethers from this. I got a laugh from "The Oregonian" last night. "Steelheading is excellent on the Nestucca." Gin Clear, low and spooky might be a more accurate report. First light, 6# test and mini presentations May find a fish??? The Siletz Bay had an Interesting report though. Bright Hens being found. If you beleive??? Any how hope we can hook up together sometime soon. Keep me in mind I you may have a seat open!

Kind Regards
John
