ILWACO REPORT AGAIN ?

Just thinking back on yesterday and whether or not I should have gone out. Crossed a nasty bar on the south side at 5:30. Very rolly and tight together. Made it to the ocean and it was not too bad until around 9:45. We were out near the CR when it really kicked up and I made the call to reel up. Took a 30 minute ride south to a group of boats between 2 and 4 and got our last two fish.

Was it worth it? Should have stayed with my original thinking and not gone out. I appologised to my buddies and stated That I would not try that again. Fish are not worth getting beat up over. Read about one boat sinking at 2. Did anyone see that. Everyone rescued and boat was recovered. It was not worth it to them.

So, the moral of this story is stay with your instincts. If it looks bad it is bad. Call off the trip and go home and get some sleep. There are other fish in the sea. Also from the looks of it 10 was pretty ugly too.
