National Weather Warning tonight

[Herring Problem]

Central Oregon is under a sub freeze temps tonight. low lying areas will go below freezing tonight.

For those of us with I/O's this could mean trouble if water is still in the engine and risers

I will plan on draining block and exhauset tonight after work.

Plan for some cold weather tonight.
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PENDLETON HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 9 AM PDT THURSDAY.

CLEARING SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS WILL CREATE EXCELLENT CONDITIONS
FOR RADIATIONAL COOLING LATE TONIGHT OVER CENTRAL
OREGON...ESPECIALLY LOW LYING ARES PROTECTED FROM THE WIND.
TEMPERATURES WILL DROP BELOW FREEZING OVER MOST OF THE
AREA...INCLUDING REDMOND...LA PINE...AND PRINEVILLE.

A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR
HIGHLY LIKELY. THOSE WITH AGRICULTURAL INTERESTS IN THE WARNED
AREA ARE ADVISED TO HARVEST OR PROTECT TENDER VEGETATION. ALSO..
POTTED PLANTS NORMALLY LEFT OUTDOORS SHOULD BE COVERED OR BROUGHT

It was 29 this morning. Don't forget the wash down pump and filter. Glad I picked all of my tomatoes yesterday.

mid-september it should be no surprise. now that i'm a city dweller don't see it that often this early but at work it has been around 36-38 some mornings which is a few hundred feet above sea level. the high country basin south of you has frost coming also. should help those going out to have the skeeters knocked down a bit.
