Very cool, but I can't help but think that it'd be easier to control those things with a steering wheel.

Re: I went 170mph!!(pics)
Isn't it amazing just how narrow the track becomes once you are out there? Can you imagine going three wide?
How many laps did you get?
I got to do the Richard Petty school at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Our top end was about 140 or so. A real blast. 170 would be even better. I think that was the speed for the ride-along program.
Cool.

ohh come on where's your imagination...... a couple of big vice grips on either side and your good to go..... I mean how hard could it be to steer a car at 170 holding onto a couple of vice grips......
congrats on your awesome day my buddy did it in vegas and said he loved every minute of it.

It was called Racing Experience. It was more of a short overview than a school.

We got 10 laps. You could get a bigger pkg and go up to 80! I think 30 would be awsome!! I passed a few cars but they give you room. I cant imagine 3 wide inches apart.
The best part is when I got home and my wife saw my Pic with all the gear on sitting in that car and watched my video..........lets just say she wanted to race too!!

Re: I went 170mph!!(pics)
Way cool. I got to do it last year at PIR. A couple of things that got my attention that reminded me of how seriously fun it was.......the flame retardent jumpsuit, the five point harness, and the red emergency button to put out the fire in the cab............after that ...well it was awesome going around the track as fast as you could go.

Great ride. I wonder if my heart could stand 170 mph. Would love to find out.
