Open seat! Hunt of a lifetime Hunting Elk/Deer Pheasant!
Well here goes......
I am going to montana on Oct 19th leaving Central Oregon. The first stop is western montana, we have four elk tags, four deer tags. I am going to hunt hard unitl thursday the 25th of october, focusing on elk primarily but if MR. Big Mulie jumps up....... I will then pull out and take off to South Dakota. I own a house there, we are going to meet up with a group of guys and hunt the worlds best wild pheasant ground. Litteraly can see over a thousand birds a day. I plan to hunt birds for three days, maybe longer if we fill all our tags in montana. If we don't I plan to pull out of South Dakota tuesday the 30th of october and head up to the missouri breaks for large mule deer. May hunt there through the 2nd or 3rd. I had planned for my little brother to go but his schedule is not as forgiving as mine. I am looking for the right guy that wants to go on a hunting mission of this size. I will be driving, with my trusty labs. If anyone is interested please let me know or if you have any questions you can reply or PM me. For those of you that can not go I am going to try and video my entire trip and put the highlights here at ifish. Should be fun what can be better than Bulls, bucks and roosters!!!

what is the cost of transfering tags to another nonresident. i am assuming this is part of the game plan. what are the dates the tags are valid. i would never go bird hunting if i had a valid deer tag

I am not sure if you can transfer tags to another person or not. I will check into that. I was hoping someone had tags or would get general season tags. Possible resident that would love to hunt the worlds greatest wild pheasant tertitory. All options are on the table.

If I didn't have to host a couple elk hunters around the place I'd be all over it! Good luck--by the way, Baltz cooks pretty well.....

You can't transfer the tags but may be able to get a deer tag. I would check with Montana fish and game to see if they have any left overs.

This is your only option. There are no tag transfers or over the counter big game tags for nonresidents.
