Northern Idaho Fishing

A friend of mine just moved from Florida to Sand Point Idaho. He wants to give flyfishing a try, and I told him he probably has about a month of the best fishing of the year, but I don't know anything about the streams in that neck of the woods. Anyone have any intl. re N Idaho/ NE Wa? Any good fly shops that he might check out? Man, I wish I had a week to ramble around up there in the next month?

Joe Roope's fly shop in Couer D'Alene would be a great start. The St. Joe is world class fishing. THere are several others that have good fishing too.

Thanks, Mojo! I wil pass that on to my newbie fishing friend. One of thse days, I will go up there to see him and check out some of the local rivers. He's new to fishing, and may start throwing hardware, but I have urged him to pick up Fly fishing by next Spring. We rafted the Tieton Friday, then hiked up on Mt Ranier Saturday. Too much to do, too little time....
