Default Silver lake buck makeover

My step dad gave this buck to me to hold while they were living in Salem for a short time. I took it in and had a new cape put on. The old mount was from 1979 and it was one of those old half neck jobs, it almost looked like a dog! I new I had to do the buck justice! He took it near Government Harvey pass with one shot through the neck. Now they have moved back to Bend, so I brought it down as a house warming gift, he did not have any idea I was doing this, he was near tears. It now hangs proudly in their living room.

Way to go.

I bought my dad an anvil for his birthday. He almost cried from that. It's all about giving a little thought to a gift. it isn't all about money. then again getting a cape and shoulder mount is a little extra change to be sure.

Eiathe way thanks for sharing the idea/story.
