Default Fighting Bucks

So I woke up to an odd sound right outside my bedroom window this morning. I looked out and there were 3 deer within 15 feet of me. 2 of them were bucks and they were sparring. I think they finally saw me moving around and spooked. They took off across the pasture and stopped about 100 yards from the house. At this point there were 4 deer, but I could not see more than just bodies through my binoculars. Suddenly 2 of them started an all out brawl. I watched these 2 bucks fight for nearly 20 minutes. At one point one of them had the other pinned on the ground. It was one of the most amazing things to watch. Just wish there had been a bit more light so I could have video taped it. What a way to start the morning.

I think that is rare to see them going at for that long and hard. I have seen bucks and bulls several times lower their head do a little push and then the other one usally moves off. Yes it would have been a good video.

Kinda early for the boys to be fighting already. Guess they are getting an early start on sorting things out. Were they good sized bucks or young ones?
