Default My wife and I

Are pregnant!!! You would never know it with my wife but if you look at me you'll ask when are you due? Anyway, we found out last week and very happy about the whole matter. The bad news and how this is related to fishing is I have a feeling it will cut into my fishing time. (Poor selfish me.) I still feel very blessed to have her as my wife who does let me go and fish as much as I want too. This time around, her morning sickness is pretty bad and hope it passes quickly. I know I need to be there for her as much as I can. Just thought I would share the good news!!!

When is the new fishing pup expected to arrive?

Congratulations!!!! ...... and yes I bet it will cut into your fishing. We have a two year old and another one expected in November (hopefully just after hunting season). I too have a very understanding wife that lets me fish almost as much as I want. With the second one on the way I'm trying to use that as a good excuse to get a bigger boat. Totally a safety issue of course. So far it isn't working. Any suggestions?? Twoshottom,
It has worked for me as to getting a bigger boat. I had just sold my 10'9 inflatable with a 15 hp outboard and moved up to a 16ft drift boat woth no motor.(Still looking for an 8 hp kicker). That inflatable hauled Butt!! It was an unsafe boat. I had flipped it once but that's another story. The Driftboat with no motor is a very safe and floatble boat. I finnaly got her and my
2 1/2 yr old daughter in it about a couple of months ago. It is a tottally different type of boat. And this one is much safer except the class 3 rapids that I have no experience in. But we're learning. Keep reminding her that yes bigger is better but don't remind her of the Titanic. hey,
congratulations on the fry!! my wife and i are planning to start our family soon, as well. yes, i expect it to cut into my fishing time as well. think of it this way: in another couple of years, you'll have built in fishing buddies!
i figure if i don't get the boat before the kid comes along i'll never get the boat and they'll have a college fund instead. well, you know, i did just fine going to a state funded college. if they're good kids, they'll make it just fine without my help.
i hope it's a boy or a really tough, outdoorsy kind of girl.

congrats again!

Congratulations on the pregnancy! Yes, it will cut into your fishing time. You will probably miss most of the winter steelhead fishing with a due date in March, because you and your wife will be worried about it coming early. And that is a valid concern, as my wife and I had our last one early.

Good luck on the boat thing. I'd use that as an excuse, but unfortunately, my kids want to fish on the bank, not in the boat. I don't know why.

Happy to hear the great news I'm sure your wife isn't too happy in the mornings but she will get over it. You know, the Dr.s know what causes that now.

One foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel...........

Just kidding, of course! Congrats to you and the Mrs. You'll always remember the birth of your children as your best days. And after a little learnin', you'll never be without a fishing partner.

Smoke a stogie for me!
