The meat in the cheeks would be a meal in itself. As for the previous comment, I understand that big fish make produce more eggs. Everybody has heard the big fish story, and it is so hard to toss a trophy back when it is real. That is until you taste it along side a smaller one. Congratulations I can't get upset for some one taking home big beautiful Ling Cod, and I hope you mount the head on a wall. I dive and spear Lings small but legal (For the taste). I have passed many big Lings. But someday my urge for a trophy fish will hit. Nice picture.
