Default Eurasian Collared Doves

Out dove hunting I ran into a couple of birds that I had never shot before....

I guess they are becoming more prevolent in our flyway.



This is the Eurasian Collared Dove.

Here it is pictured next to a mourning dove. Definately lighter in color with a definate collar on the back of the neck.




After the first was on the ground, I actually saw 5 more fly by, one of which I was able to get.

It is always cool to shoot a new type of bird. I'm glad I had the chance to get one this year.

Colored or Collared? you got me excited I thought I was seeing a collar on a damn dove!

You just shot the last two remaining blue collared doves! To bad they're not banded...When are you gonna kill one of them red collared pigeons? LOL!

Those look a lot like the ringed turtle doves we raised as kids. Lots of them escape from people and go wild.
