Default SeaSport or Osprey?

Drooling over the SeaSport 24 or the Osprey 24. Anyone have any experience with either? My 19 VS is a very versatile and nimble worker, but I'm looking for something that comfortably handles open water. The comfort of a cabin gets more appealing as I get older too.

now this is just my opinion, but i think both boats are A+! but be sure to ride in them before you buy one! I think i support the sea sport a little more since they are made up here in Bellingham, the only thing i see with the osprey is there big bow, seems that comming out of the hole might be kind of hard to see over that big nose comming up and out of the water. but, like i said take a ride, see how they handle, that should make your ultimate decision. A couple weeks ago at a Astoria gas station, the guy next to me was filling up his 27' Skagit Orca on a 3 axle trailer. We chatted about his boat while I drolled all over it. He said his choice of boat narrowed down between the Sea Sport and Skagit Orca. Choose the Orca based on construction techniques laying down the fiberglass instead of shooting in resin and piece fiberglass, the Orca also has injected foam flotation. Thought the hull was stronger and quieter. His other objective was to have a large comfortable ocean going trailerable boat for Canadian and Oregon salt water fishing. He also liked the layout and cabin setup and how the boat handled rough water compared the the rest.

I've never riden in either boat and would love to go out on one, just waiting for an offer.

I'd be happy to have either boat, the Skagit Orca is a really impresive boat. Better check them both out. He gave a brochure with a web address, here you go.......

Skagit Orca

Best of luck and when you pick up that boat, I'll be ready to head out anytime.

New to list, first post. I have ridden on a 24 Osprey and a 28 Sea Sport, and I can tell you I think the fit and finish of the Sea Sport is superior. But then again I wasn't exactly comparing apples to apples. Both rigs are top notch though and will set you back a long way.
