Ocean Salmon Fishing

- So when does the CR ocean salmon reopener close?

- Will they just wait until the fish counts meet the quota so it's open ended?

- Is it still legal to keep Nooks?

This weekend is looking a bit sporty again so I was hoping for the following weekend.

The re-opening should stay open through September, unless another emergency edict closes it. Limit is 1 nook, 1 clipped silver. Fishing was slow last weekend for most so I don't see it closing before month end. I think this weekend is shaping up for river fishing.

Or two clipped cohos don't forget. And it's supposed to be 25 knot winds and 8 to 9 ft. swell so I'm not going out until next week. It was blowing hard already this morning and whitecapping at Manzanita so it doesn't even seem like we'll get a morning wind break in this north wind.

Surf last night was really good though.
