Default Owyhee Bighorn

We had a good trip. this was the 27th ram 159, 32 inch length.

Probably saw 10 shooters in and area that everyone kept saying didn't have good sheep, even the Biologist told us. I think they are doing very good.

They put his age at 6 1/2 years, not really an old timer.

If anyone draws a tag for that area, be sure to call......

Nice Ram. Did you get lucky on the Weather. That area is so hit and miss. I saw some guys that had the Alvord tag and they were beat after 5 days in the heat.

Congratulations , That is a very nice Ram. Seeing pics like that keep the rest of us trying to draw that sheep tag. Job well done. Hunting in that kind of country does take a toll on the old body.

Dan, Thanks for asking me to come along it was a great trip. It was great to be a part of it. I will have to say that Dan showed more restraint than I might have had when he passed on 2 nice but smaller rams opening morning at less than 100yds.

We had a few tips on areas from some of the members here, thanks to them too.

Great story and trip.

I myself have 37 preference points for bighorn, so am virtually certain to get a tag next year.

Put my son in at 17 and he drew his first time...also Owhyee, east...three-fingers gorge. Shot a nice one (147) and had a bit of an adventure, but this one looks cooler.

Thanks for sharing it.
