Default NW Oregon,Washington coast suggestions???

I will be traveling to NW Oregon(Portland) and SW Washington(SeaView) and would like fishing suggestions for these areas.

We will be spending about 4 days in Seaview and the rest of the 9 days traveling the Washington coast and looking for places to fish.

I will be bring a 4 & 5 weight flyrod. I am looking for everything for small river/stream fresh water, to suggestions for 1/2 day trips in saltwater.

So Rivers, Streams and lakes near the coast are fair game as well a charters out of any of the towns up the Washington coast.

I posted this message on the Virtual FlyShops NW bull board and have gotten no responses for tht last 3 weeks. I am hoping to have better luck here.

When are you coming up? and where is Seaview WA. Don't believe I'ver ever heard of it. (though that doesn't mean anything ) That info might help narrow it down a little for you

If you've been reading some of the other threads here, like Ilwaco jetty fishing for example, there are some good suggestions on places to fish in that area at that time. There was also a thread on surf perch on the flyrod. I believe that took place in the same general area as well. The popular buoy 10 fishery will be in full swing at that time, and charters are available out of Ilwaco. As far as trout fishing goes, Maybe sea-run cutthroat in the Naselle river? I'm not real familiar with all of the fishing options in that area. Hopefully someone else can provide you with some more specific info.

Good Luck to you.

Don't unpack the fly rods! Hire a guide and go bouy 10 salmon fishing. This is a no- holds-barred fishing event. All men are created equal here and none are pansies. You will come off of the water tired, wet, and smellng like fish. Bouy 10 salmon fishing is one of those "gotta do it at least once" deals. If you fish bouy 10, you can go back to the big sand box and say "I went, I fished, I lived.

I will be arriving 8/10 and departing 8/19.

SeaView is just north of Astoria, between Ocean View and Long Beach Washington, on the coast. Just N or Fort Canby State Park.

Well it looks like I've got the scoop on the salmon. How about information on any fresh water small stream of river fishing along the coast or at least within a few miles of it?

Or...A must fish river, lake or stream, even if its a few hours inland?
