Default Newbies Getting Their Tuna On (Pics)

This weekend was perfect for taking out newbies. Calm seas and plenty of sunshine. I decided to bring my wife and niece out on their first tuna adventure. We ran out to the 46'10 x 125 line and started calling out to the dogs for a little guidance. Didn't want to look like a schmuck in front of the crew. The group hasn't let me down yet. We had to press on to around 46'08 x 125'10 (the furthest west for me). Bam! Fish on! Not a ton of fish, but everyone got a shot at pulling one in. After a day like this, I can say that my wife is one step closer to endorsing my habit.

Thanks to all the friendly folks on channel 11!!

The smiles tell the whole story.

Good goin'. Looks like you might have a couple of new fishing partners.

Sat - took out one of my "regular crew" guys (Steve) and his nephew - Josh. Josh is going to be a sophmore in high school this year. He has been fishing numerous times, loves fishing, but has never caught a fish . Steve and I were determined to cure him of that nasty habit (fishing rather than catching).

Ran to the 46-08 X 125-08 and proceeded to wack em. Josh caught the first, the last, the most, and the biggest. We fished until about 11A, had 15 on board, and decided that was plenty.

I'm hopeing another Ifisher has been born. If we don't get the younger generation involved, we won't be fishing long.

Great photos - that's what it is all about - bringing others over to the dark side!!!!!!!
