Looks like a good Rod Run Weekend up in Ocean Park Washington since the weather appears to be a streach at best. Nice to have an alternate plan.

Spent the last two weeks fish off the CR, in the River, off shore, near shore, crabbing. Pretty darn good time out there for the most part. I can say that I am totally spent and have no desire to fish right now. did I just say that? No desire to fish? Of course I have no desire to work either but you gotta pay to play I guess.

Ocean salmon stunk on the reopener. Rough ocean that was no fun at all and scattered fish too. River fishing was actually almost as good as the ocean on Sunday. Sounds like a few did better Monday outside if you were in the right place. Crabbing is excellent and the crab are nearly full meat now. Tuna are way off shore at this point and may be a little futher than I want to go by the time the ocean calms down. Hope they move back in in the next few weeks.

I hear you C&E. I also just spent the last 10 days in Long Beach. What a great way to spend the last week of summer vacation before my kid's school starts. For the most part fishing and the weather was as good as it gets.

It was great hearing all the dogs on the radio, especially 50 miles out with live tuna reports. That's the way it should be. Leave no Salty Dog out. Ray, (Cod Father), thanks for all your reports and good conversations in the afternoons.

FYI. There is starting to be some interest in a caravan trip to San Diego for some big tuna. Some great trips leaving on Dec 26th. We'll have to talk some.

Now I'm hoping the CR Tuna will come in a little closer for a good finale.
