Default Columbia Steelhead

I want to take my Steelhead magnet of a Kid out on the Columbia Saturday for some Steely action. Any good suggestions on where to go?
How deep of water are most of you getting them in now. Has anyone been seeing any action along Govt. Island?

Tanner,
We were out on Sunday and saw a few fish caught just above the Sandy River mouth in 20-23 feet of water with red U-20 flatfish. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Tanner, I'm gonna be out ALL day tomorrow (Thursday) and plan on fishing Gov Island...Depending when you go out and where the tide is....If it's up....look for 20' or so...and other boats or course The little Red F7's with black spots have been the killer for steelhead and an occasional Nookie....I also plan on fishing the latter part of Saturday (after 2pm) down there....i'll be the only one with Ifish stickers on my boat. Great luck !

Fished morning and after noon outgoing tide...picked up a nice steelie....then released a native and had three other wonderful take-downs i coulda..woulda...shoulda's ALSO Has anyone else noticed sneaky..old fart...fish bandits? One old dude got a chinook on early this morning that took him down a ways off anchor and he proceeded to land and take away to his floating home around Gov Island. He then returned later to get a keeper fish and kept fishing...He left and later returned to fish the afternoon tide. Wonderful Another older fart got a keeper and then had on another steelhead, i done seen it, it was a steelhead...He also floated to the middle of the river to land this fish....It might have been 6lbs when i saw it jump, He got back and said "**** chinook" Yeah right !! I think there is some funny business going on out there... Anyway !

If that does not work....then
