Re: Wild Horses II and there owners
sounds like you should help your neighbor put up a better fence around your place!

Re: Wild Horses II and there owners
You might seriously consider talking to him about it if it bothers you that much, either that or call the county mounties and let them talk to him. Nobody is going to be happy if one of those half breed spanish fire breathing hay burners finds its way out onto a county road or highway in the middle of the night and someone drills it with their vehicle.

I hear you ,it`s a good thing we live at the end of a road ,and the hay burning bastages ,don`t go onto a Hwy or buisy road ,so far ,it might have to point that out

Re: Wild Horses II and there owners
Yes, talk to him. I've always been one for working out issue w/ folks.
I think good neighbors are better than angry ones.
Call him up and offer to help electrify that fence. I don't believe tape is not considered an adaquate livestock barrier as far as the county is concerned. Point out that he could be held liable for damages they cause. Suggest that it would be cheaper to keep them fenced....and offer to plug in the charger yourself.
If all that doesn't work, tell him next time you find them in your yard, your going to "relocate" them. That worked for someone I know. A new fence went up real quick when he realized "my friend" wasn't fooling around. Of course the fact they they were already in the horse trailer might have helped!

Re: Wild Horses II and there owners
I'm currently dealing with an issue of our neighbor's cows "wandering" onto our property. It's been going on for several years and the neighbor always has an excuse when I call him, but never gets around to rounding them up for quite some time. I finally called the sheriff this time and asked them to call my neighbor. He was over the next day rounding up cattle rather than get slapped with the livestock at large citation.
I didn't want to bring in the law to deal with the problem since I get along with him otherwise, but after exhausting all my other options I felt I needed to. Apparently that's what it took to let him know I was serious. We'll see how long it lasts.
