Playing weather roulette, we placed our bets on Saturday...it was a good call.
The hali's were hungry and Tacklebuster knows the sweet spots and how to keep the boat on top of them. Then, Mrs.Tacklebuster has the magik rigging that the hali's can't resist.
Early into the first drift three rods were loaded with hali. I had the fourth rod, and not having any space to drop in, could only stand by with the gaff.

The other boats seemed to be doing OK too. One big private boat must have been jazzed by the radio reports, and then as he charged into the Ranch seeing us with a double prompting him to drop his gear right in our wake

. With us on the motor to slow our drift, the north wind quickly pushed his big boat into overtaking us....still doubled up. In the end, crowding us just caused him to lose fishing time. As others have said - it's a big ocean give the other guy some room.
We each threw back one or more to grow some more, which resulted in this limit:

A little lumpy but overall a beautiful day on the water to appreciate the Northwest's bounty.
