Default Depoe bay Grouse hunting?

Just wondering if any one has done much grouse hunting around Depoe bay, Newport, Lincoin city, area that would be willing to give away a few of there spots. I have a dog that i would like to run on them. Thanks in advance.

Well i went out this afternoon up the Siletz. I did not see any think. I dont now if i am just looking in the wrong spot or what. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Bet you will get into Band Tailed Pigeons up there though... get that tag and get to it!

I did not now that there was banded taled pigeon up there. Are they in those fields or just out in the woods?

Grouse hang out along the roads. I usually just drive around till I find them, then get out of the truck and shoot em There is a ton of timber company roads behind depoe bay that should hold bird. You could also try walking in behind locked gates.

Band Tailed Pigeons are not so easy..They aren't similar in habits to the barnyard variety. Small flocks in the upper elevations, often spotted high up in dead snags and very spooky with excellent eyesight. They are fond of mineral springs.
