Hows about a South East roll call at Wichita pub Monday at 6:00

Ok, I saw fishbaits roll call for Hillsboro. Lets see how many of you fishheads live east of the Willamette river. That includes southeast Portland, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Molalla, Canby, Sandy, Estacada, Boring and all points in between. Then we can meet up at the Milwaukie Wichita Pub and have some laughs. Ok Sledder, since springers didn't work out as we planned, here's the tentative new plan - we can finalize the details at our "South East roll call" over a beer or two.

On one of those pesky call out's from work (around Aug 10th), accidentally drop your cell phone, then while trying to pick it up, accidentally step on it. That way you can sprain your ankle, and the phone will be out of service. The way I figure it, it should be at least two weeks off, work related, right during the upriver bright season.

WMBOBBER, I am using my fourth cell phone, luckily for me work pays for them. One more phone probably wouldn't phase the boss. I've lost two during boating related exercises, one of which was putting out a fire on a older SEARAY on the upper willamette. Well it sounds like I should have included all of the east side. Yes, you guys from Gresham are certainly invited along with Gladstone(geez how could I forget Gladstone? Linwood and S.E. King Rd. right next to the Sentry grocery store (perfect for taken a few brews home with you!) [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] For those who dont know where this is, Take 82nd ave. to King rd. follow King rd. west to Linwood (second light heading west) Southwest corner of that intersection is where the pub is located. Weekends wont work for me, as I plan on being fishing somewhere. [img]images/icons/rolleyes.gif[/img] I suggested a weekday evening only because it could be done after work. After 8/1/01 I think many will be near the mouth of the Columbia on most any day.

Fishhead, I am aware of a Texaco (recently closed I think) and Chevron at the intersection you describe. I may have to look closer for this withcita pub you refer to. I wasnt aware there was one there.

I just updated my email address on ifish, and now I can't post or log in for some reason. I talked to Scott (Sledder) this morning, and he said Aug. 4th won't work for him either, but the evening of the 30th would. I was going to post that on the thread, that maybe we could have 2 separate get togethers for now, and maybe a bigger one later, but I can't get on the board. What are your thoughts?

I'll be around until about 10:00 this morning then I'm going to go kill some steelhead. If what I said above works for you, feel free to post what Scott and I talked about the evening of the 30th.

East Side! Is there any other??? Born and raised in Clackamas and currently reside about halfway up Mt. Scott. I remember this place before it became one big subdivision. FYI - I just stopped by the Witchita Pub to give them advance warning of our get together tonight. I told them there would be approx. 20-30 people there, give or take. They said thanks for the heads up, and said they'd even throw in a pitcher or two of beer to our cause.

I also got permission to move some tables around if we need to.

They did say though - 6:00 is the end of their happy hour so it may be crowded. But I think the advance notice will help in securing enough tables and chairs for everyone. I'll try to get there a little early to make sure there's room.

I'm looking forward to meeting some new people tonight!
