Best Deal on fish?

I have had the duty since spring to supply the Salmon needed for my wedding on Sept 15th. I was making good process, but I filleted my Springers wrong and needed them whole.. Now I am wondering where I could find the best deal on fresh salmon for my wedding? Feeding between 150-200 People. The estimate is 10 whole Salmon 10-15lbs!

Any Ideas?

I'd tell you what I spent to catch 5 (keep 3) this weekend at B10, but sufice it to say the price you pay will be WAY cheaper

Probably gonna be silvers this time of year unless you can get some fall chinook indian fish up in the gorge. Be careful how well they're cared for though. FM has a good deal on wild headed/gutted silvers this week $3.99. lb if you can freeze em for a couple of weeks. We had a year old silver fillet last night on the Traeger and with some good seasoning it was still tasty.

First off, Congrats!!!!

But secondly, is there an issue with you future in-laws or something?

Whatever you do, do not confuse "Best Deal" with "Cheap" on affairs of your wedding day. Creating memories of your fish is probably not really what you want.

Yes it is a big expense. You are only doing it once, right?

Costco starts getting whole salmon this time of year that appear well-cared for.

Might I suggest at least going up and talking to some tribal fishers and tell them your predicament. They are a very compassionate, family oriented people and I am sure they would be happy to help in some way if possible. They may even let you come up and pick the fish you want right out of their nets. I have had many good experiences with them at the Washington site just above Bonny. Just go talk to them and be honost and friendly. Heck they might even filet them out for you. It's amazing to observe their skill with a set of knives.
