Default tungsten putty

Hi all,
I've been using tungsten putty for a while now when nymphing instead of BB shot - for multiple reasons...

But I was trying to teach my girlfriend this weekend to cast and drift a nymphing rig, and had put a couple of shot on because I was lazy and did not want to dig for the putty...

After about :15 very frustrating tangled lobs, I replaced it with putty, and she was not only out where she should be, untangled, but with a fish on...

So it reminded me why I use it, and to suggest if you have trouble with shot to try it;
1) lead free
2) forms to leader in a long oblong shape, even just making the line thicker if you really roll it out - which eliminates the "elbow" or hinge point shot creates
3) keeps the "bend" in the line at that point a nice sublte curve
4) almost snag free on bottom
5) does not pinch leader
6) VERY easy to get off, or adjust amount of weight (up or down)

I usally form a 2" worm, tapering it out on each end, as thin as I can get it.

It's expensive.
however, my little tub has lasted two years...
and I dont fumble and spill teeny tiny shot all over when hands cold !

Cheers!
