no is the short answer. cylinder choke is good buckshot choke, that is why the old police shotguns are cylinder

Yes, I would agree, I don't think I would use either of those chokes. I also doubt you want to shoot across your bare choke threads to achieve cylinder bore. This topic is interesting to me because, as some may recall, I also recently acquired the same shotgun and I have yet to consider 00 buck in it - - - 'perhaps buy a spare barrel off of ebay ('pretty cheap for a used one w/no chokes with it - - then, cut it off to the length you want . . . . 'not much on ebay right now, though). I dunno, just throwing-out an idea. Don

Well, having posted that above and not understanding why (actually) no barrels after having so many available on ebay when I bought mine (I bought my 870 with a rifled slug barrel), I got to remembering my brother had mentioned a ban on certain forearms parts on ebay.

"eBay Halts Sale of Gun Parts

Virginia Tech Shooter Shopped on Auction Site

© Susan Cramer
Aug 13, 2007

The discovery that Seung-Hui Cho may may have purchased gun parts at auction has eBay revising its firearms policies.

Ban Effective 13 August

Effective today (August 13th 2007) eBay is banning the sale of all gun parts, including any part required for the firing of a weapon such as bullet tips, brass casings and shells, slides, barrels, cylinders, firing pins, magazines, trigger assemblies and the like. This ban is the result of information indicating Seung-Hui Cho, the mentally unbalanced Virginia Tech student who shot 33 including himself and wounded at least 10 others, shopped on eBay for the extra clips he may have used in the rampage last April."

Now, I'll look to see if some other site might have picked-up the slack. Don

After further research, I discovered I just need to try different chokes. Each gun is different and I need to find what works best with what I have. Looks like I need to buy more chokes............

e-bay no longer allows sells of any firearm parts.... Thank the anti's for that.

gunbroker.com is a good choice....
