Default Time to set camp, can you feel it?

Can you feel it inside? Can you feel it?

I hope I can sleep tonight!....Up early and out to set up camp and take a look around. I know many of us wait for this day each year. IM not going real far away, just high cascades but I feel that having a camp and working an area not only makes for a fun hunt but puts you on the learning you need to make a kill in your chosen area. Day hunts are ok but IM going up higher, to far for a day hunt. I know the area well and will not need to scout this year. The deer are always there prior to the season but often vanish in the fall so IM used to it. I as always will be aiming tight at the first good forked horn I see without hesitation. Bow hunting trophy animals is a stroke of luck on public so I will read my hunt this year in accordance to the ODFW regs and nothing more. I have not yet decided if I shall take a doe. I usually like to wait a few days into the hunt before such a choice is made. Often times a doe can be found on those after the opening day trips anyways. I am hunting alone again this year and I honestly feel that is the way I like it. The family will be with me but I like to be alone when I am playing cat and mouse in the woods with the game.

Did all my practicing and got all my tags so now I can feel my roots of hunting in my blood starting to boil.

It is time...

I bid all of you good luck this weekend and may your aim be true in the moment of truth.

Off to finish packing

Peace!!!

I'll be up there for the day Saturday then again during the week. If I see your camp I'll stop and say hi. Got something Sunday That I can't get out of.

My partners left today. I'm really torn up inside that I can't go.

Good luck on you're hunt, some of us are counting on living vicariously thru the posts.
