Default Pikeminnow in the M-Channel

Has anybody fished for or accidently caught these critters while fishing around the Multinoma Channel?

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Also, where would the closest registeration station be?

Thanks in advance...

Mr. F.

Mr. Fisherman

The pikeminnow bounty program only applies to the columbia river. To bad as the channel has a tremendous amount of pikeminnows that are above average size due to little pressure. I caught them up to several lbs.

I picked up a dandy pikeminnow on smelt in 74 feet near Camas on Wednesday ... close to 4 pounds. Lots of fun, too. It fought like a ball of seaweed.

Kenia,

If ya register and go boating to fish and just come back with a bucket who's to say they have to have a travel stamp?

The smolt run the channel too and I don't see where this would be a violation of the spirit of the law

So, where are they in the chanel and how do ya catch them?

Thanks,

Mr. F.

Mr. Fisherman

I usually fish right on the bottom with nite crawlers. The entire channel area has fish so where you fish is not important. They bite lite on bait so dont set the rod down and set the hook quick. You will also catch sturgeon and walleye so careful with the lite weight tackle, you may get a surprize!!
