Default Who'll be first?

Season's only a couple of days away, who'll be the first to punch a tag and get a photo up on ifish?
I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to see some new elk and deer success pictures, so someone hurry up and post it!!!

Good luck

Myles

I have already seen a couple deer photos from successful hunts guys took in Cal. to get warmed up. Do these count?

Personally, I am not worried about who's first. My hope is that everyone has a great hunt and can't wait to read the stories, oh photos too...

Same here...stories, pics....can't wait to read them.

Took my youngest daughter (6) out for a walk last night and bumped a small band of elk at 15yds. My god these elk had a death wish, stupid as all get out. Here we are walking along and she is "Daddy look at this, daddy look at that, daddy do you think we'll see any deer?" And here they are standing 15yds away. Meanwhile the lab is getting all birdy! Nose to the ground tracking them.I'm slapping my leg with the heel command. Ya had to be there.
Never did spook them. We backed out and went around to get in front of them and watched them from a far until dark. Never did see any bone but they were mingling in/out of the tree line.

Anyway, it was a special moment with my little girl.
No camera, no spotting scope.....but cool all the same.

Being first is bitter sweet. Then you spend the rest of the season watching everyone else hunt. You wouldnt hear me complaining too much though.
