My Son's Birthday Present
For my oldest son's 21st I bought him a Ruger .357. This year he asked me to make him deer antler inserts to replace the wooden ones. Do ya think he'll like it ? (By the way, he kind of grew since the picture of him in my avatar pic....he's now 6'3")

HELL Yes!
That is a nice gift, but to take the time to make those inserts for him, That takes it up about 10 notches..
Super nice gift, Go out there with him and blast the heck out of some Planters pea nut cans full of water.

Re: My Son's Birthday Present
THANKS!!!
I don't think I've ever sold a piece. You have to be "family". Each one is a labor of love. Sometimes it's years between pieces. I like making personalized pieces for the individual. Been into knives lately.
Here's a story: I had a friend that had a tattoo. I spent numerous hours studying it secretly. I made him a piece w/ the scene of his tatoo. After two days of hand work I gave it to him and he looked at it and said, "Wow, cool I'll bet you could get like $15 for these at the flea market". 16 hrs / $15= NOT MUCH

Thanks again,
Bill
