Wine experts…
I’m looking for a particular wine, but the only place I know where to get it is over the internet. Unfortunately if it gets delivered to my house, it would spoil the surprise for my wife (it’s our anniversary coming up). So is there any way to find out who is selling a particular wine?
I’m looking for:
L’Ecole NO 40
Seven Hills Vineyard Walla Walla WA.
It’s a merlot
Thanks!

Re: Wine experts…
Call them and ask them if they distribute to anyone near you.

Re: Wine experts…
Stores with wine stewards should be able to special order it for you.

Re: Wine experts…
We distribute Seven Hills. L'Ecole is not a Seven Hills wine but they do source thier grapes from Seven Hills and Pepperbridge wineries.
The above listed distributor should be able to fix you up.

Re: Wine experts…
I may not be a wine expert but I do work in the wine industry here in Walla Walla. The winery that I work for is partners in Seven Hills Vineyard with Marty Clubb who owns L'Ecole. I am sure that if you called the winery and explained to them what you want they would be more than happy to accomodate you. By the way, the L'Ecole Seven Hills Vineyard Merlot rocks!

Re: Wine experts…
Thanks!
I called the vineyard, who gave me the number of the local distributor. I called them, and they gave me some business around Portland who have purchased L'Ecole Seven Hills Vineyard Merlot.
One of them was a Fred Mayer, so I went to my local Freddies to see if they could special order it. Of course they didn’t exactly have a “wine steward.” More like the food manager. He said he would try and get it for me.
We’ll see how it works out. I hope I can get it for my wife, she really likes that particular wine. I’m pretty much a wine ogre, so it’s been a little bit of a learning experience.

Re: Wine experts…
The Fred Meyer's in my area carries L’Ecole NO 40 merlot, but not sure if it is from the Seven Hills block... (Suprisingly, Fredy's has a very good wine selection)
You could also try calling Every Day Wine in Portland (off Alberta). She has a good selection and is a great place to go if you want to try a glass or two of a few different types of wine, or pick up a bottle or two. She also lets you bring food in and enjoy with your wine sampling!
