I do believe the fishery in the river opens on Aug 1, Buoy 10 to Bonneville. I could be wrong on how far up but I know the river open Aug 1 at buoy 10. Happy fishin...Fishinfool

Default Columbia, (up) river Coho's?

Is there a Coho fishery that opens above the 101 bridge on the Columbia? When would it open and how do you go after them?

While I don't have my reg's handy...there is a season on the Columbia. Years ago...we used to fish the mouth of the Sandy casting 1/4 oz. Steelies...and hammered. Last year...there was a pack of boats right across from Chinook Landing trolling flourescent orange Wiggle Warts at the mouth of the Camas slough. I know the mouth of the Cowlitz is a good spot too.
