Ya Doofus!!!! You are supposed to be the one giving 'that' report
Split tides right now, Dustin. Go really early or really late in the day. The fishing is OK, not hot...but OK.

Re: Steelhead St. Helens?
You guys need to be slaying them when I'm stuck working. At least that's how it usually works. With all these fish going by what is the deal? How can it be so dead?

Fish Hunter;
You need to explain to me when it is you work. Lets see, around 20 to 25 days off work for fishing since when? February sticks in my mind. Let everyone know about the Montana journey. Good subject to share since you put out feelers before going on that trek. Glad your back safe.

Re: Steelhead St. Helens?
Talon, sounds like a better report than most. My buddy's teenage son did about the same monday. He got a few laughs too when he stepped off the boat letting the anchor go to pursue the third one. He got right back in though.
Fin, you know how busy I am investing in future hunting and fishing time. Where the hell have you been? The Missouri was only ok, flyfishing was working but I was in a spin crowd on the drift boat, the moss is 2 months early this year. Had a good walleye trip in Houlter Lake though. Fished the Clark Fork on the way back and it was good, caught some nice cutts and rainbows.

Re: Steelhead St. Helens?
I fished Tuesday after work with my brother and I caught a little native and lost another fish that was probaly a salmon? All the fish that I have seen and have caught lately have been in deeper water around 25-30Ft. Anyways, I want to know how close is too close to anchor to other boats? Because this guy yesterday started calling my brother and I every name in the book after we anchored next to him. He claimed that we were to close and even threated to pull a gun. We were at least 14 plus feet away from his boat. My brother and I fish out there a lot and have never seen the guy before. We were there five minutes and caught the native. You couldn't have planned it any better. Maybe we were in the wrong but I have fished a lot closer to other boats in the Columbia before. All I know is that if this guy fishes for fall fish out there he will have fit.

Hey Fish: You've been gone so much, the head nuts (or is that nut) had to send me out of town for a few days to learn your job since you are always gone. Check out the post about tuna. I may just have to sacrifice some chum and give that a try this year. Be back on Mon.

Re: Steelhead St. Helens?
Beav,
Sounds like the guy is just a Bozo. Up in the hoglines near Oregon City for springers, the boats are tied off to each other. If you had 14 feet between your boat and his, he was way out of line. Trouble is he's too stupid to realize it and he just ruins your fun.
