how to unlock your car remotely when you lock your keys in
Verified!! If you happen to lock your keys in your vehicle and you are lucky enough to have somebody near your other remote...they can click the "unlock" button over the cell phone or phone and it will unlock your vehicle...no matter how far away!!
We tried this and had my sister lock her keys in her car in Sacramento, CA...and had her husband unlock it from Whidby Island, WA.
Way cool....now if I could just remember where I put my keys!!!! hehehehee... ElizabethAnne : )

sure...as long as you are on the phone with the person in or by the car...and i love your sense of adventure......you must be a hoot...remind me NEVER to give you the remote to my truck!!!!! hehehehehehe

Many key remotes are RF transmitters that use a rolling code encryption. There is no way a cell phone can transmit on those frequencies and interface directly with your car using this technology.
Most likely the scenario posted uses a different type of technology.

wow...all these brain cells at work..hehehehe.....maybe we should try it here in our area to be assured that the signal works with our vehicles.....we tried it and it did work with a Ford F-350. I would hate to be responsible for anyone not being able to unlock their vehicle...so please do not rely on this as your only backup plan.....and thanks for pointing out that it does not work on all vehicles......good luck : )

Why would you need to lock your keys in the car? If it worked, wouldn't it do it whether the keys were locked in the car or not?

well the car thiefs would have to have your other key fob unlocker thingy...that his buddy was pushing the button to while holding it to his phone.
all i know is it absolutely worked for me one time, but never again...dont know why or why not.

OK. I just tried it. I had Bill drive down the road with my keys... I locked my car, and then he called me and clicked them.

There Was A Couple More That Were Floating Around Whith This One And The Only One That Was True Was The 1800free411 From Your Cell Phone . .all You Have To Do Is Listen To A 10 Sec Add And Then You Get A Free 411 Call

They said that about the chicken and the airplane windshield too but revisited it and did a 180 on their initial decision.
Not that unlocking your car works over the phone. If it transmits radio waves then it won't work. If it transmits a sound that is too high for us to hear but can be transmitted over the phone then its plausible. But I think the odds are pretty slim.

I owned a 96 Pontiac for awhile, and had this cool little door key that slid into a plastic carrier and fit nicely into my wallet. That was a heck of an idea.

Funny, I have one of those as well and it would have worked great had I not locked my wallet with my keys in the car.
