Default Garibaldi ocean conditions please?

Will anyone who happened to go out of Garibaldi today please provide an ocean report. I have some friends in from Las Vegas who want to go salmon fishing. Is it to rough or is it calm. I know the high tide on the bar is early, however with only 3.3 feet water going out perhaps the bar would be flat all day as long as the oceaan is not to rough. Thanks for any information

Haven't been out today, but you can check a live camera view of the bar during daylight hours ...

Went out at daybreak this morning. Bar wasn't bad and seas were lumpy. My sled is not eqipped for that big water but I did drop in the gear at 147 feet trolling NW by Twin Rocks. Went out as far as 190' then turned and head with the rip. My rod went slamming down @ 157' with a nice 10 full-finned model released from 22 pulls. Continued onward toward the jetties, then at 145' another fish that was clipped!

The wind came up, and we got out of dodge.
Went North to NEHALEM BAY...NOT THE PLACE TO BE. The fish checker there reported one fish taken for the whole week! (That was on tues. caught by Rip some Lips)

Anyway, most of the fleet has been getting fish way out in 150-300' of water the past few days. I'm not going out that far in an open sled.

The wind has been coming up hard around 11:00 or so, then it can get nasty.

Good Luck!
