Default Proud Owner of "First Duckboat"

Im pretty new to the Ifish, I dont know any of the waterfowlers on the board but thought I would share my new pride and joy. I hope you all are as excited about the upcoming season as I am. I will be posting some open seats this season. I've only been duck hunting for a year and would love to hunt with someone who would be willing to teach me a thing or two about duck hunting and can put up with alot of dumb questions, Im eager to learn. Let me know if you would be interested.

How well does that pug swim?
Seriously it looks ready for the marsh. I like the blind

Is the pug strictly a water dog or does he do upland game as well???

That'll hunt. Avery blind?
I think I saw that on Craigslist. Good purchase.

My advice....drop the sides by about 1/2. Then you can see out while seated. And it will lower the profile of the blind a lot. Should be very easy to do too. Those Avery blinds are very flexible.
Congrats,

Nice looking boat! COme by a DA meeting and meet the rest of us crazed duckers. You'll get plenty of information and likely make a few new friends.

Did you buy that boat from some fella way out in Banks?

Nice boat. If it's the guy from Banks, it was well cared for and shot plenty o' ducks. You'll have a good time learning how to best use that sucker.

Love the pug shots. It looks real birdy

Going to the Festival this weekend? If so, stop by the decoy carving contest tent and say hello!

Yah, i bought it from Mike out in banks. I just tie a rope to the little guy and throw him as close to the down duck as I can get him. I'm going to try and make it to the waterfowl festival but my wife doesnt share my enthusiasm( she doesn't have the "SICKNESS" Like me yet)

Thanks for all the comments guys I hope to see you on the water. Good luck and knock em dead this season.

It's like seeing pictures of your ex-girlfriend parked in her new boyfriend's driveway....errr, something like that.

I was sad to see her drive off into the Sunset, yet ecstatic that she would find a good home with Pat - a sure-bet DA'er entering his second season and buying his first boat. THAT, simply....is destiny.

(Pat - I'll mail the manuals, etc. on Monday!)

You know Mike (HnF), I always thought about dropping the height on that blind...just never did. And yep, it's an Avery - one of the early ones.

Thinking of all you DA'ers at the Festival this weekend...while I'm at the beach with the fam.:frown:
