I'm probably not the one to give a report, but it appears that most people are fishing lower in the river. I think the sturgeon are moving toward the smelt. I'm sure someone else can help a little more. Good luck, wherever you go.

Hit the area below Bonneville on Saturday and boy howdy, was it slow. Actually slow would imply something happened, which it did not. There were probably 20 boats between horsetail falls and the deadline, we didn't touch a fish and didn't see anybody even land a shaker.

It may be a bit early up there yet, as we did great up there in late Feb last year. I did notice 3 gillnet boats at the private launch/dock across from Pierce Island. Not sure if that is contributing to the lack of fish, but we certainly weren't giving them what they wanted.

Hey thanks for the replys guys. That is what I did not want to, was to go up there and get nothing. I only get out a ouple of times a year and I would like to make the trip count.

I guess maybe I will try down lower around Washougal or Camas.

Thanks again

I had some friends fish our of Camas a couple of weeks ago and didn't touch a thing. I would go even lower if I were you.

Fished around St. Helens, above and below on both sides of the river. It was pretty slow. Some shakers but that's about it. I would fish either Kelly Point or in the Multnomah Channel. Good luck.
