Kings, Silvers, The Ugly Duckling and a case of Crabs...
Well six months ago I just wouldn't have believed it.
Dan!’s boat looked better than ever and it didn’t leak or scare us into looking for the flare gun one time. No sir, I was taken aback. New paint, Good running motor and genuine concern as to cleaning up the fish slime and even a tinkle bucket readily accessible for all to use (and clean when they were done). There was a special little cutting board for cutting bait, no cutting on the newly painted bait box lids, thank you very much. I didn’t check but I was in the cuddy and could swear that the carpet had been cleaned and the port-a-pot had been emptied and at least rinsed.
It was even full of gas before we left the dock
And then….. Food…. Not that old bread and bait I found from the last trip, I mean actual uptown I had my daughter slave over a hot stove delicious sandwiches and lemonade!
It gets BETTER…. WE caught fish! Lots of em, and folks were asking US what to use, where to go, how did you do that, what’s a king!
We had a fantastic trip. The beautiful new yet un-named vessel limited out. I caught my biggest scrapinest King yet! Hey Dan!, how about Sea Swan , that old Ugly Duckling has gone and grown up .
On the way back we pulled out pots and took home some nice tasty large hard crustaceans. What a bounty.
On the report end of this post we were surprised. What worked last week wasn’t so hot. We headed north a few miles and got into them. 8 fish and 4 big smiles The drift/current was just ripping. We were all the way back to CR buoy before we knew it.
The crabs, well they were large and all filled out. And TASTY, just ask my boy. I think he is still crackin’.
Thanks Dan!, things are really looking up. Now if I can just get another kitchen pass….
Later,
Mr. F.

Nice to see Dan got the stink off his hands. It sounds like you guys had fun and will have full bellies for a while. By the way, what color was his duct tape this time covering the hole??

Way to go Dan and Ray. After all the kidding around with boat names, I like Ray's latest idea of "Sea Swan". It now seems to fit just fine. And it sounds cool. Take care guys. - Steve

OK Ray the check is in the mail like I promised. It was a lot of fun. So much easier when everyone is experienced and knows excactly what to do. Yes, you are a good luck charm just look what happened to our buddies in the boat beside us. Couldn't catch a fish until we handed them the lucky gear blessed by yours truely. Start working on the wife now for your next kitchen pass.
Just so everyone knows I was threatened in my own boat this past week. By Mr Fisherman hisself. He has this big ol nookie beside the boat and everytime it sees my blue net he takes off. He treatened to throw me in the water if I missed it the eleventh time. May I suggest to anyone buying a net to get brown or black. Once I switched to the black net he practically jumped into it. The blue scaird the dickens out of him.

Re: Kings, Silvers, The Ugly Duckling and a case of Crabs...
Come on Dan!,
I didn't threaten to throw you into the water.... I promised .
The last time you netted a Nookie fer me (my first!) he came in with a dent on his lil' forehead, AND I had to laso him cause ya' knocked the plug plumb out of his mouth .
He did take to my net like he took to my rod though huh . Full steam ahead.
Thanks for another great trip Dan. Oh, by the way... Yer new moniker is missing the "!". I've been on enough trips with you to tell you that it's just too exciting not to have the "!" at the end of yer moniker.
Just my .02 (that's in brazilian currency due to a lack of american funding)
Later,
Ray

The new set up Jeannie has will not let me end my moniker name with any of these !@#$%^&*(). Just the new rules for some reason. I tried to put in the ! program told me to get *#%$ for some reason.
Dan!
