Default Leaving Town, Need a Steelie

Alright, I'm so determined to catch a fish right now it's not even funny. I'm moving to Boise in about 3 weeks and need to catch one before I go somewhere where they are much less plentiful. I'm 0 for about 1000 now on steelhead trips. Hooked a few, landed none. I'm about two seconds from giving up on ever getting one so I figured I'd try to get a few tips first. I'm willing to go as far as 2 hours away to get one. So the big question is...Who out there can help an inept steelhead fisherman get number 1. Thanks everyone.
Tony

Don't give up SuperT!

I've got a good friend/client that lives in Eagle (right next to Boise) and he catches them on the Snake and Clearwater. If you want, maybe I could "hook you up" with him once you get over there. He's a great guy and I can guarantee he'll show you how to catch steelies in that area.

Good luck on your move!

SuperT,
Some of the best advice that people gave me on this board is hire a guide. They not only get you into fish but also show you the different techniques that it takes to get you into fish. I also concentrate on one of the methods that I have been taught and have been succesful now at getting into fish once in a while. I was up there with your 0 for 1000 trips. Good Luck with fishing and your move.

Hey SuperT:

I am going on a trip down the S. Santiam on Sat. I will report how I do. If fishing is still good over there, I will try and help you out.

SuperT,

You need to hook up with ******. I was in your bracket till three weeks ago. He took me there, put me in the slot, I hooked into 3.
Awsome feeling when it finally happens.
