Default Depoe Report 8-12

We left port at pre-dawn hours and headed to the banana. the water didn't get over 60 degrees until we passed the banana then we had to go west another 10-15 miles more to find 62 water. We seen jumpers and deployed gear. It was a dark over cast morning so we started off with mix of purple and black, mex flag and zuks. after about 20 minutes the mex flag picked up a fish. Trolled a while longer with nothing. switched one rod to a cedar plug and another to a swim bait. The cedar got hit and when we slowed down the swim bait got hit (our only double) Changed every thing over to cedar plugs and swim baits and slowed the troll down to 5 knots. We boated 8 more and then the bite shut down. Lots of jumpers but no takers. We pulled up to a some jumpers and started to cast swim baits with our salmon rod and hooked a couple more. There was lots of boats fishing and the radio chatter made it sound like as though a lot of skippers were having a hard time find a hot bite.
Around noon we headed to the banana for some hali. Using shad, we boated 3 hali on the first drift. It's about 2 pm and we head back toward the direction of Depoe and we hit 58 degree water at around 480 ft and we start to troll for salmon. We boated 2 keepers and lost quite a few and released 1, when we hit 55 degree water the bite went dead and we pulled up gear and headed in. Sorry for no numbers but one of my crew has a pressure washer and my boat is parked at his house. If you need numbers I'll post them later on today.
