New guy
Its time I get to the story, but what story do I tell. I have fished for Salmon & steelhead for some 25 years. So I have many.
I once watched my DB reach warp speed on the Sisky boat slide. My fishing partner didnt listen to my instructions. He thought he could hold the boat back without a couple of wraps around the 4x4 post. As I walked the boat down the slide it reach the steep section and good bye. It took of rather fast, I yelled up to him to slow it down a bit, onlt to look up to see smoke pouring off his gloves. So it was time to start runnig down the hill (in those day I could run down that hill). I was able to catch the last couple of feet of rope as my boat scooted across the gravel and shoot across the river. Needles to say I dont let anyone else lower the boat anymore. To add to the situation Doug Lamire & Buzz just happened to be filming that day. Luckliy they got non of this on film, just commented on our entertaining show.
I think this is a great site you guys have lots of good info.
Thanks
