Default Loomis rod advice

I'm lookin to get a new bass rod. I want a rod that isn't too fast. I want a rod with decent action. One that I can use for throwing all kinds of baits, worms, top waters, spinners, ect. I am stuck between the IMX 6-6 8-14 or the small bronzeback 6'9 10-20

I would strongly recommend faster tapered rods than you are currently thinking about. The more you get into this, the more you'll wish you did.

I can highly recommend that you get the MBR 783c (10-17) rather than the 782c (10- 14) you mentioned.

Also take a look at MBR 843 (10-17) which is 7' instead of 6'6".

I started with the 6'6" and now use both for jigs, spinner baits and top-water. You will not go wrong with either.

G Loomis IMX rods are incredible and life time guaranteed!

Just a quick note about the MBR843 (GLoomis) rods...I used this rod for hover fishing for chinook, until they made the hover rod, and it is an awesome fishing tool...light sensitive tip for the slightest bites and a strong butt section for power...with thei "Magnum Bass Rod"...we have landed 40 pound chinook...***NO HIGH STICKIN***
