Default Cobra Radio Service( Has this happened to you?)

Had to send my new Cobra VHF DCS radio back to the factory.

First the DSC would not work with GPS for Long and LAt, psoition on screen.
While checking out connections, I inadvertedly changed the first number in my mmsi number. Oh great, now radio reads ERROR. Must be reset by factory.

So, call the tech number, pack up radio, UPS to factory. Nine days latter contact them, they recieved the radio, on line to be repaired.

Twenty five days latter Aug 6th, I send e-mail to support, asking about radio, get e-mail back What radio? No record of recieving your radio!

Need to send them proof they recieved radio, Send them the reciept from UPS saying they recieved the radio July 9th at 10am.

Tell them ,"this is not cool!"
They respond ,they don't have radio and will check around.

I send email- I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in there State for theft,(Gotta Love The Internet!) AG will be contacting them shortly.
Next day- e-mail- found radio, is on lead techs desk, next to be worked on, will be shipped out with an e-mail notification for tracking number next week.

Now I am waiting to see, if I recieve the original radio with my name and ID that I put on the radio.

Don't think I will be buying anything with the Cobra brand again.
Why didn't I stay with Furuno?

HP you gotta keep us informed on the outcome. I wonder if they will pull a switcherooo.

I work for an electronics manufacturer. We had a customer return around $50,000 worth of electronic boards they wanted repaired under warranty. They claimed faulty workmanship. They send a team of people over to "get to the bottom" of this situation. We are all in a conference room with the defective products. This VP is blabbing about how their production lines are shut down and how their loosing x-amount of dollars because of our screwup. I examined the boards. I ask him if here is sure we built the boards. He exclaims yes.

Wrong! Not our bar code labels, QC stamps or any standard identifiers from our factory. You could of cut the embarrassment with a knife. Must of been your other supplier...lunch anyone?
