Default Northern Pike pics.

Had the opportunity to go fishing in northeastern Canada. Watch those teeth. This was a little guy. Record was 44 lbs.

Even those little guys can fight. They call them snakes back in Dakota & Montana and when you catch one, you know why. They curl up on themselves and even try to get those sharp teeth into you. They can be fun. I hooked a big one (sure I know) at Fort Peck Montana one time on a Dardevyl spoon. The fight was great until I got him in near the boat. Then I saw those devil eyes and it was like he looked up and said, "Not today, turkey" and he bit right through the wire leader and was gone. Big memory. No fish.

I must be a little tired tonight because when I read your topic title I thought I was going to see some pics of ********* (northern pikeminnow). Hey nice fish though, it's a lot bigger than most of the trout I catch.

Thanks guys. Thought I would post a picture of a fish you don't see around here. I fished there for a week and never made it off the one arm to the main body.

Notice the bow, it was a vintage wooden boat with 8hp merc. It was a huge lake. 600 miles north of Buffalo to Lake Nippising.

Drove by Lake Erie and Lake Ontario to get there, now there is a landlocked ocean.

Now Im making spelling errors. past my bedtime to
