Default Astoria Gators(7-7)

Fished with some new friends just east of the Astoria bridge between 5:30 and 10:30 AM, for our 4 keepers (2 @ 44" & 2 @ 48"). We had 3 keepers by 7:30, but ended up having to move into deeper water as the tide went out. We started in about 12~14', and ended up in about 20~25' when we caught the last one. Probably caught 9 or 10 shakers, and had very little problem with bait stealers. We kept moving out into (deeper & swifter) moving water. Best luck was on fresh anchovies. Probably going again on Tuesday.

Sounds like a good report! I've heard it's been slow as of late, and the timing is right.... just a matter of time until jackpot. Thanks for the info.

Fished about a mile above the bridge on the washington side on sunday. Started fishing about 8 am in 25-27 feet of water. Had three keepers, 42", 43" and 52", and released a 42" fish by 11:15 am and caught 7 or 8 other shakers. All on smelt.

We were above the bridge on the Washington side too. Saturday limited with 3 keepers by 7:20 and then played catch and release for a few hours. Sunday the first 2 fish that hit were 48 & 50. Again more catch and release. All of the fish were in less than 13 feet of water on Sand Shrimp.
