Ryan,

Saw your boat out there near the CR bouy. (identified by your photo). Nice job on the fish. My boat is the 23' Trophy named "Cindy Lou". We also had a great day out there. Got one 20# nookie and caught lots of feeders that did not meet the 24" by an inch or so. One was real close so we did measure it. missed that one by 1/2 inch. Back it went.

Had a monster fish on around 11:00 that broke my Lamiglass at the butt. He was stripping line like crazy and the rod just snapped. Got my money back today but the guy refused to replace my lost fish. Oh well... Still a great day.

Hey, did you see that over turned boat between bouy 6 and 8? All persons recovered but the boat finally sunk. Probably will end up around Tillamook by Wednesday or so.

Congrats on the nice stringer!

I didn't notice the overturned boat, but we heard about it on the VHF. The bar was puking at about 8. I remember seeing you as well, are there any ifish stickers on it? I'm always on the lookout for them when I'm out and about. The boat belongs to rippenlips. Being as I'm unemployed right now he's my fishing sugar daddy.

Ray, didn't you know Dan was handing out lamisnaps at the ramp. But they all had little N's on the bottom where the blank meets the handle

I also forgot to mention what was working. Everything! We mostly fished green/chartruse or Glow Army truck hoochies with a chunk of herring or chovie. We were at 17 pulls but I don't think it mattered, we had one come up and bite a hoochie that was over the side of the boat in 2' of water while we were landing a fish on the other side of the boat.

Default CR buoy on fire!

Rippenlips and I were able to fish out of Hammond yesterday and boy was it a trip. We launched at 8:00 and in missing fisherman formation headed to the back side of sand Island put the crab pots down and then went to take a peak at the bar.
When we first got there there was a motor lifeboat at the jaws and a SH-60 hovering over by the south jetty. There were some BIG breakers down there also. The motor life boat left and we decided to take a peak. It was still a bit rough for our liking so we found some flat water and waited. At 9:00 we checked again and the ebb had died down considerably. Nice day out on the water 3-5 foot waves at 9 seconds.
Stopped short of the CR buoy and put lines in as we rigged. Just after we got the 3rd line in the water fish on! then a double. Action was fast and furious from then on. I don't think we went 5 minutes without a strike. For some reason the fish weren't sticking though. I have no idea how many fish I alone lost. There were also plenty of feeder kings and coho with adipose fins. I had one king that was probablly within an inch of 24 but didn't want to net him to measure so he went free. Even with me farming fish and all of the others that had to be released, we were done by 10:45 and I even got a nice 31" 16lb Nooker. every boat I spoke with had put limits in the hold. I don't know how long the quota is going to last with fishing like this.

On the crabbing front, 2 traps, 2 pulls apiece 15 crab. Mmmm.

No i-fish stickers just the name Cindy Lou on it. It has a Ratheon radar and gps on a pole.

Your right. Anything was working out there. But we were consentrating on the nookies during the low tide then at about 10:45 went right to coho to finish up the day by 12:00.

Lamiglass money has been retrieved with no questions asked. I will stay with my Cabelos $109 downrigger combo rod from now on. They never break and they were cheap.

Goooooood fisssssshin!
