Default Good Start to a Duck Boat????

Hey everyone,
Do you all think this is a good start to a duck boat? I know I have to attach some grass to is to make it not soo blocky, but besides that what do you think.

It'll do I guess I was in one real similar to that last year and we only managed a couple out of it, I know it was the blinds fault though. We will find out real soon.

P.S. I guess I need to get going on mine now.

Is the hole in the netting down below the gunwale for the duck cannon?

"Prepare to be boarded!"

Sorry, couldn't resist.

If it floats, and you don't care about scratches, it's a good start to a duck boat.

Jason,
Looking good. Gotta start with something. The Tracker didn't look like much at first either.
http://www.ifish.net/gallery/showpho...95/ppuser/4467
But after netting and grass it seemed to look a whole lot more ducky.
I just get a tickle out of taking out guys that had never hunted out of a boat blind before.
When ya pull the top over and close her up, they get that excited look in their eye that say's "Ohhhhh, this IS cool!" I call it the Man Fort Phemonemen. You know....that special feeling you had when you climbed into your 1st tree fort?
And there's nothing like breakfast in the blind!

Keep up the good work & keep us updated. Better hurry up though....Jimbo says he's gonna SWEEP the boat blind contest at the OWF. I think I'm gonna sit it out this year. No time to do what I want do to the sled. But I should have something huntable by seasons start.
Just can't make up my mind on which design to go with. Every time I look at it a get another idea on how I could do it. 4 final designs so far. Each has it's set of pro/cons. And of course I'm such a perfectionest I can't decide.

I do know this.....I must be able to bass fish out of it. Ya gotta love those combo hunts. Ok, I guess that eliminates 2 canidates.

You nailed it man, It IS like being in a fort.

I can not think of anyplace I'd rather be on a day with the "freighttrain" of wind through the bare naked cottonwoods, than in the Duckbomber boat with a couple of kindred spirits and their owners.

...Dog reference for those of you that may still need coffee....

Oh, by the way, the camo netting looks good, I'd overlay with some native grasses and plants though, Because it is almost impossible to be a perfect match otherwise....

Sometimes, I'll even hoist a big limb or two over the Duckbomber's Stern, ... makes the whole thing look like a root wad... gives it a look of "being permanent" and ducks like things that stay the same... I guess people do to.

My thoughts exactly. I am getting the grass as we speak.
