Mr. Fisherman is all mine .
Mr. Fisherman is all mine keep your hands off of him.
Thanks to all the ifishers I met this past week at the river clean-up and on the water.
Garibaldi totals were
42 crabs
2 nookies 19.5 and 18
5 coho and 2 hours of chummin for me.
Astoria totals for two boats
7 crabs
14 salmon of which three were nookies
RT caught the biggest on the Astoria
Mine was the biggest out of Garibaldi
Garibaldi crab harbor and ocean for crabs
twin rocks @ 180 foot line for salmon.
Astoria Crabs bouy 12 to the left OUT of the channel 30' deep. Salmon at the CR bouy.
Tip for I fishers. Always have at least one rod running deep I mean 50 to 80 pulls with large bait on it.
Super top secret tip Bring Mr Fisherman along. He is like a good luck charm. I mean even if you have to pay him or kidnap him. I could not put a fish into my boat until he got on it on Sunday then it was bam, bam, bam we were done inside of two hours. Just remember I get first dibs on him then I'll loan him out for a fee.
Dan!

quote:
it was bam, bam, bam we were done inside of two hours

I think I heard this story from RT and Stew, but now that I think of it, they never mentioned any fish
Ramstrong - even if the catching isn't good, the tension always get relieved when someone brought the lucky pot. So the nemesis of bananas is the lucky pot?

Re: Mr. Fisherman is all mine .
Apparently they've been slaying them out of Westport. DanS, myself, and my youngest brother Justin are going out of Westport tomorrow on the Ms. Magoo. She's operated by Ocean Charters. This should be a blast since I haven't saltwater salmon fished yet, plus the youngest has to catch his first salmon.

What's this redneck? you bringing all of your kin folk out here. I think you need to leave someone back in bama to take care of family business. You're right there's nothing like pulling up luckypot. esp after a long day of fishing and just seeing that it's full of Crab. Mmmmm sea spiders.

Re: Mr. Fisherman is all mine .
I agree Dan!. On the Halibut days we did some amazing stuff. Two drifts produced a Coast Guard rescue and 4 flatties on. The second drift was a triple hook up with a #50 lb feeeesh for me.
The lucky pot is a garage sale crab pot. I don't think he paid much for it but it kills crab like nobody's business.
So, Ray you sweet thing, you have a seat on 'Pilar' anytime you can get your kitchen pass. Maybe now your significant other will let you out more. After all you are finally bringing home the good eating treasures of the sea.
Hey fish, get in the boat!

Re: Mr. Fisherman is all mine .
Ohh its the lucky crab pot My mind went a different direction. I was thinking that he never shared his pot with me. and it sounds like he lets everyone share his lucky pot. Does he grow this hmself or what. His lucky pot did put quite a few crabs in the boat. It is a cute little thing. Remember I found him first so should have first rights to him. He was holding a little sign on ifish that said I will do ANYTHING for feesh. and I took him for springers FIRST so he is all mine. Better not be cheatn on me. Remember sometimes crab bait is in short demand. E:mail me we may be able to get something going this weekend. Experience on the boat is a great thing.
