Default Nehalem Bay Help

The Family and I are going to be camping at Nehalem Bay State Park over the 4th. Is there any thing worth fishing for this time of year? Any reports on crabbing? Thanks in advance for any info.

Wet Willie:

Had some crabs from the Nehalem on Friday. Still a little thin but tasted great. I guess the quantity is fairly good. I saw my first boat trolling this morning up by town. It is still pretty early but not to early not to give it a try. You might have a better chance by the jaws. We have got some very low tides in the mornings so watch where you are motoring. Sturgeon fishing is tough because of all the vegetation in the water and the crabs and pogies stealing your bait.

Weather is warm but some showers are predicted for thurs/fri.
