Default Night Fishing Lower Willamette Question

What boat ramp can we use to do some night fishing on the lower Willy without worrying about our rigs getting locked in or towed? I would prefer Willamette Park but the Portland Parks and Rec Dept. says that the park closes at 10:00 P.M.

Here is a link to the Willy ramps:

I don't think there is a gate at the Milwaukie ramp (Jefferson St.) but I have been wrong before. As soon as I loose my fear of the boogey man I'm gonna try night fishing. Well that and running my boat into something. Good Luck.

I work on Swan Island at night and I know that boat ramp is open all night. There is usually at least one truck/trailer there at 3am when I drive by. It is a well lit area with a decent amount of traffic all night so it should be safe too.

I should also mention that the Milwaukie ramp can be an adventure once the water gets low. The ramp has quite a drop off near the end. I found this out the hard way a few years ago. I think there is a mark now that tells you the distance till the end.

I would not recommend the Milwaukie ramp. It is a narrow lane to back it down between barricades that extend into the water, that if you are trying to load or unload your boat in the dark, could cause some damage to your lower unit.
